Hall of Achievement candidates may be working, retired or deceased. To qualify as a former student in the School, a candidate must hold a degree from the School or have taken a significant amount of course work in the School. A candidate's distinguished career achievements may be in fields outside journalism and communication.

The selection committee, chaired by the dean, will include distinguished faculty and industry professionals from the disciplines taught in the School. The next class of inductees will be honored during a campus event in fall 1999.

Nominations may be made no later than February 5, 1999.
